Hero, chapter 5

Egami gets impatient with Maiko. He starts to assault her and she runs outside then meets Kuryu and they kiss. In her dreams. Literally.

Maiko claims she has a married boyfriend.

Kuryu and Maiko are getting ready to interview a witness to a crime. A wife claims her husband assaulted her and injured her in front of his mistress.

They talk to the mistress.

The chief wants to find out who Maiko's boyfriend is.

They stay overnight at a hotel and have to use the same room. Maiko's getting drunk and has made sure she's moved her bedding as far away from his as she can. Maiko and the mistress talked earlier, and the next day the mistress admits her original statement to the prosecutor's office was false and that the guy did not attack his wife; his wife tried to injure herself.
