Long Vacation: Episode 10

Minami sees Sena but gets into the car anyway and he leaves. As he's walking he runs into Ryoko and they talk briefly.

Minami and the photographer have dinner, then he leaves.

Shinji and Rumiko talk and she wants him to move back in with him.

Ryoko and Sena are at the teacher's place and Sena is playing. The teacher tells him his playing was good.

Minami takes photos of Momoko to learn more about photography.

Shinji and Ryoko talk, then Shinji goes to see Minami at the photographers. Her mother had sent her a marriage proposal. (In Japan, many marriages are still arranged. In this case someone who Minami has probably never met or heard of has proposed marriage to her; such marriages are often for show, to boost one's position in society, for money, etc.)

The day of the piano preliminary competition arrives and Sena does very well. He sees Minami in the audience and the two talk, but they again argue and she leaves, going to meet the photographer for a date.

The photographer Sugisake and Minami talk and he proposes to her.

Sena checks the results of the competition and he has made it to the finals. He calls Minami and apologies for the argument they had and tells her that if he wins the finals he will be joining the Boston Symphony. She tells him the photographer proposed to her, and he plays her some music over the phone.

The next day Minami meets the photographer's son. Meanwhile Sena is drunk and his former professor knows something is wrong with him.

Minami calls Momoko and they go for a drive. Momoko ends up letting Minami use the car, that she knows Minami wants to be with someone. Minami goes to Sena's apartment and, standing outside, sees that he is shooting off fireworks that she had given him.

She goes up to the roof and joins him. He asks her why she came there and she says she came to kiss him. They kiss briefly, and then he really kisses her.
