Long Vacation: Episode 8

The photographer shows up to return Minami's keys to her. They all end up in Sena's apartment, with the photographer saying that he's going to New York for a week. Minami says she will probably be moving out.

Minami and Shinji talk later as Shinji is also looking for a new place to live.

Sena talks to the professor and says that he may enter the competition for the Boston Symphony. The professor later tells Sena that he won't admit that he's lonely.

The next day Ruminko calls Ryoko, Shinji, Minami, Sena and Momoko all to the café to introduce them to her new boyfriend who happens to be Minami's former boss.

(Although "boyfriend" is sort of strong. Some Japanese girls have relationships with older men who give them presents and money. A sexual relationship may be part of the deal, but the man is not really a "boyfriend" as such; sort of a "sugar daddy", relying on a really old term.)

Ryoko and Shinji talk later and Ryoke agrees to let Shinji stay overnight at her place.

Minami moves most of her stuff from the apartment. When the photographer returns he tells Minami that he is divorced and has a son, but his wife has custody.

Minami and Sena hold a barbeque sort-of celebration of Minami's moving out but no one else shows up, Momoko stopping Shinji from going up to the apartment. Minami and Sena have an argument and she leaves the next morning for her new apartment.
