Episode 10

Ai leaves Ryousuke's apartment and goes back to meet Shimura (who happens to be staying in room 911 in the hotel). Instead of going in, though, she just writes him a letter basically saying goodbye and leaves it with the front desk. She even deletes his phone number from her cell phone. Meanwhile, Mikan is with her mother in the hospital. Her mother tears up the picture she has of her, Midorikawa, Ai and Ryousuke when they went out together, saying that Mikan has given up on him.

Mikan asks her mother about what her father was like. The problem with the relationship her mother had with him was that he was already married. She knew she couldn't marry him, but she at least wanted to have his child. Koda returns to her home but her husband is nasty to her. Wataru is not doing any better as his parents are mad at him since he said he doesn't plan to take the college entrance exams.

Wataru gets into an argument with his step-father and ends up getting slapped as a result. Ryousuke is having trouble controlling his classroom, the girls wanting to know why they should bother to study history. He ends up taking them on what is probably a not-approved field trip. He ends up paying for it when he gets back to the school. To make it worse, Shimura calls him at school, asking about Ai.

Ryousuke calls Mikan asking her out on a date. He tells her that he and Ai have split up. She tells him that her mother has cancer. They end up going to the amusement part after eating out. She has a wonderful time but he looks a little self-conscious when on the merry-go-round. He gets totally worn out from the rides.

Ai takes a job as a waitress but a guy offers her a job as a bar hostess instead. Meanwhile Shimura runs into Midorikawa. Midorikawa says he has to give up his plans for a bakery since he doesn't have enough money. Mikan tells Ryousuke that she wants to go out with him again and he says he will. Meanwhile Wataru calls Midorikawa and tells him not to worry about hitting him when he was young, that he doesn't remember it.

That night Koda tells her husband that she knows about his affair. She ends up calling Wataru. Ryousuke is put on suspension by the school for his unauthorized field trip. He calls Mikan and tells her that he can't see her that day, and this was after she had prepared two bentos for them. Ai goes to a job interview but it doesn't go well.

Mikan meets Midorikawa that night and she gets drunk again. He ends up telling her that he is in love with her. Mikan waits for Ryousuke outside his apartment building and confronts him (she's still drunk). She tells him she desperately loves him. Koda meets Wataru.

When Midorikawa gets home he finds an envelope stuck in his door. It's a bank account from Shimura with a note telling him to build the bakery of his dreams. Meanwhile Ai deletes Ryousouke's phone number from her cell phone after seeing Mikan tell him that she is in love with him.
