Where is Love? Episode 2

Mika talks to Ryousuke, telling him he was the one who gave her the red shoes. He tells her she can keep the shoes, that the other woman dropped him anyway.

Mika works the night shift for another woman and the room she goes into has Kohda's husband in it with a woman who has just gotten ill.

Wataru listens to the message from the "24-year-old stewardess" who is really Ouda. Ouda confronts her husband about finding a hotel receipt in his jacket, but he lies, saying he had a meeting with a client. She then listens to answers to her phone message, including one from someone saying they are thirty, but it's really Wataru (who is still in high school) talking.

Mkan's mother thinks Mikan has found a boyfriend. Her mother wants to go to an exercise-sort of place and drags Mikan with her (actually, it appears to be more a massage parlor than an exercise gym).

Mikan is being given a massage by Ai, the woman with Shimura in the restaurant, but she doesn't recognize her yet. They talk about men judging women by their appearance, falling in love at first sight and other things.

Ryousuke returns to his apartment after failing to cancel the wedding arrangements and gets a collect call (how tacky) from his ex-fiancee. She says she wants to be a model. She explains to him that, if they would have married, she would have not been happy since she would have had to give up on her dream of being a model. (He implies that, since she is 30, she can't be a model. He's also worried about how other people will react when they find out the marriage is off; he will, in effect, "lose face.").

On Ryousuke's TV is a show called "The Male Enemy" which is hosted by Shimura. Ai is walkling along and stops to look at the TV program being shown in the window of a store when two nasty-looking men try to kidnap her.

Back at the restaurant, Wataru is eating a bowl of something. Ryousuke arrives. Midorikawa asks him if Mikan is a friend of his, figuring to determine if he had any chance with her himself. Wataru leaves the restaurant and then gets a call from Ouda, replying to the message he left her on the date-line. She tells him that she's not married.

Ryousuke buys some cigarettes from a vending machine and a man on the street gives him a flyer for a special club with lots of beautiful women so he decides to visit. This is one of the clubs where women "entertain" men, getting them to buy drinks. He finds Ai working there as one of the hostesses.

Ai leaves the club and the kidnappers attempt to take her again. She manages to escape and gets to Ryousuke's car, but the kidnappers throw paint on it as they try to speed away.Ai explains that the guys work for her father who owns one of the biggest companies in Japan. He wants her to return home so she can be married off to someone. She goes into her history and how she was actually going to kill herself when Shimura saved her.

Ryousuke tells her to tell Shimura how she feels, but in the morning she goes to Shimura's bedroom and finds him in bed with another woman. She tells him she still wants to stay with him, but he asks her what can she do other than love him?

Meanwhile, Mikan has bought a lighter as a present for Ryousuke and goes to his apartment building. When she gets there she realizes he doesn't know his name. Meanwhile, he's buying a ticket to Paris to chase after his ex-fiancee. She sees the mess his car is in and starts to clean off the paint. He doesn't see her, though, and races to stop Ai from returning to her home and giving in to an arranged marriage.
