America to Japan

President Roosevelt talks.

Examining the anti-Japanese arguments, the author says Japan has no designs on the Philippines, something misproven some twenty years later or so.

Again, missing the future, saying Japan does not want war. The author says that there was strong opposition to the government in Japan, but that changed radically as the secret police and the militarists gained control of the government.

A member of Japanese royalty saying Japan doesn't want war.

The author says that the problems in California are the fault of the people in California, and not the fault of the Japanese.

Professional labor leaders and politicians are the ones behind the anti-Japanese hatred.

The Japanese are good people.

A good argument. If the Japanese had the vote, politicians would be nicer to them (possibly.)

The problem could expand from basically a local one to an international problem that might lead to war.
