This is one part of a section on the bombing of Osake, Kobe and Kyoto and what the effects were. The section has a lot of photos and I'll cover those first, and then the parts that I think are the most important text sections.

Railway equipment production did the same.

What is the result of all these charts? It's obvious that Osaka was severely damaged by the air attacks, so much so that their industrial base almost disappeared.

Osaka's production was shifting at the time of the bombing.

The aerial attacks did major damage and caused confusion.

Where the Osaka region is.

Osaka was a valuable area for production of war-relation things.

They produced 25% of the aircraft.

Shipbuilding was also a major industry there.

The targets.

Areas hit at a certain time.

32 square miles of war industry was destroyed.

Then they got hit with incendiary attacks.

75% of the attacks on the Osaka area were on urban targets.

76 square miles of urban areas were burned.

Precision air attacks against aircraft production centers worked well.

The refineries were attacked.

The mining effort had an immediate effect.

Osaka was next to Tokyo as an industrial and commercial center.

Plants were damaged and destroyed, but workers attendance still did not fall terribly at this point.
