I'll comment on a few points in the article.

1. He says that Japan has lived up to its end of the early treaty.

2. He holds that some of the anti-Japanese feeling started with newspaper reporters covering the Russo-Japanese war.

3. The next big thing was the problem with the San Francisco school board, along with the problem of immigration.

1. Reference is made to a Congressman who predicted there would be a war with Japan in less than two years.

2. Big Business became involved in stirring up trouble.

3. The rumors about the Japanese in Mexico.

4. 34 anti-Japanese bills in California.

1. This is the first reference that points out that the anti-alien land laws could apply to countries like England and Canada.

2. The author argues that all anti-alien land laws are inherently unconstitutional.
