Eleventh Hour

This is a 1942 Superman cartoon.

In the shipyards a ship under construction is sabotaged and sinks. Superman pushed it.

Lois and Clark have been "interned" there for some reason.

The Japanese want the sabotage stopped.

Superman dives into the water, grabs the anchor and pulls a boat down until it blows up.

Then he sabotages bridges and roads.

Lois gets grabbed by a guard.

The Japanese know it was Superman doing the sabotage since Lois was almost yelling at Clark (that is, she thought Clark was in the next room), that it was Superman doing the sabotaging.

They try to execute Lois but Superman stops them. Superman makes sure she gets to safety out of the country.

The question that naturally arises is this: if Superman is so powerful, why didn't he just defeat the Japanese himself? The sabotage helps, but he could alone have defeated the entire Japanese army. Other than that, the portrayals of the Japanese soldiers are not as stereotyped as in the Popeye cartoon or in Tokio Jokio.
