Jive: Wacky and Wonderful Products from Japan

This is a very strange and utterly fascinating and oftentimes humorous book about odd products from Japan.

Just a few of these include:

Drinks: Plain white water; Yodel Water; Melon Milk; Petit Meal (prune flavor); Air; Pudding Shake Creme Brulee; Whity; Pocari Sweat

Candy: Fried Candy; Dios (beer-flavored white chocolate); Almond Fish; One Shot (squid); Crunky Kids; Tobacco Candy.

Other Foods: Vermont Curry; Blue Jeans Sausage; Garlic Potato Chips (for men); Hawaiian Barbacue Potato Chips (for women); Coffee Jelly; Choco Flakes.

There's also a number of non-food items that are equally interesting (and strange).

I can't leave out the pizza toppings, though. These include short clams, potato salad, mayonnaise, and corned beef hash.

Like I said, a fascinating and rather strange book.
