Japan: The People

The photos used in this book are very good, some of the best I have seen in any book on Japan.

The book is about the people of Japan. It covers the Japanese family (including arranged marriages and having children), the family home (including bathing), Japanese food, the language, education, the working world, what the Japanese do in their leisure time, and sports.

It also includes some material on Hiroshima and the thousand cranes of Sadako.

The book also discusses some of the problems Japan has, including discrimination against certain minority groups, women not receiving equal pay, and ecological problems.

A very good book.
