Japanese Heavy Cruisers of World War II in action

From Squadron Signal, Warships Number 26.

This is a book that is crammed with information about Japanese Heavy Cruisers in the Second World War. There are loads of photographs that I've never seen in any other book. There's also a lot of information, and even various drawings. It all works together to bring these ships to life.

There is also some information for those who are modelers are want to match the actual paint colors of the real ships.

I found it quite interesting that many of the ships were basically top-heavy and had to be rebuilt. It's also amazing how many times the ships were rebuilt and how they were altered, mostly to update their weaponry.

In my opinion, the best part of the book is in the photographs. The whole thing, though, is really fascinating.
