Yanks Invade Marshall Islands

An armada of US ships closes in on the Marshall Islands.

American bombers attack the islands for 25 days.

The ships open fire for 28 hours.

A Japanese pillbox is blown up. Earlier the film showed a Japanese sniper dead in a tree and the commentator talked about his meeting his “honorable ancestors.”

“Frantic Japs continue to give battle to the advancing Yanks.”

Some Japanese prisoners are taken.

“More than 8000 of the Mikado's men are wiped out by the invasion of the Marshalls.”
