”This story about Masumi Hayashi first aired March 25, 2004, on "Outlook." It was rebroadcast Dec. 21, 2006, shortly after Congress approved $38 million to preserve WW II internment camps. Our crew enjoyed meeting her, and learning about the history of the camps. So it was with sadness when we recently learned she was the victim of a senseless crime.
