McNeill Island Penitentiary

This Washington camp was for younger draft resisters from the Heart Mountain (33 of the 63 convicted) and Minidoka camps (30 convicted from this camp). Gordon Hirabayashi was also imprisoned here for draft resistance. More Heart Mountain resisters were added in July of 1945.

The draft resisters were all pardoned by President Truman on December 24, 1947.
