Study Guide for Farewell to Manzanar

The writer of the original book spent three years at the camp. The introductory part of this work is a good recap of what happened in general. The book is divided into sections:

PLOT: What happened to the family specifically.

THEMES: Prejudice, camp conditions, disintegration of family, identity, royalty, freedom, survival, resilience, rebellion, reasoning.

Chapter Summaries: Summaries of each chapter, obviously.

The book is a very good guide Farewell to Manzanar, particularly the themes section.
