Target Tokyo

The second documentary starts.

Men are brought together who were used to flying B-17s and B-24s, but are now going to be trained in flying the B-29.

The B-29s were flown to California for refueling and then on to Pearl Harbor. From there they went to Saipan and became part of the XXI Bomber Command.

The planes prepare for a bombing run on some factories near Tokyo. They will have to fly around 3,000 miles total on the mission.

The bombs are dropped. (I think this documentary was narrated by Ronald Reagan.)
