This Could Be America

“This could be America. This is the way it might have been.

These are supposed to be scenes of Japanese planes bombing America. Unfortunately the person doing the fake Japanese accent is hard to understand, so I can't type out all of what he said. They do specifically mention attacking Chicago and Cincinnati, though.

Then film from American planes is shown. They talk about how Japan from the air looks a lot like American, and then the American planes attack. The narrator says that people should remember it could be American cities that are under attack.

“This could be a beach on the shore of Lake Michigan.”

“This could be a small town in Iowa.”

Then it says again that all these things could have been but aren't, that the fighting is going to stay rough and maybe get rougher, that it costs money and the war takes lives, and people need to buy war bonds.
