Page 1: The coal supply is assured for the present; Bed Time is last-minute bits of news; the North fence has been completed; no more non-citizen (Issei) Japanese will be allowed within a mile of the camp; schools will open, but there are no stoves for warmth.

Page 1: Topaz needs 150 more maintenance workers; the Bed Time column; first paychecks are in; a plant nursery will be constructed.

#3: Oct. 29, 1942
Page 1: The first snowfall; the Bed Time column; 37 more people from Santa Anita have arrived; the third well has been completed.
Page 2: The Bed Time column continues; article on the death of one of the residents; no sugar beets will be harvested within the camp since so many people will be going elsewhere to harvest sugar beets. (The pay is better, for one thing.)

Page 2: Briefs and Bulletins column; a statistician has left; 700 residents have taken up outside work.

Page 4: The education material continues, including profiles of some of the staff involved.
