The Battling Bastards of Bataan

Another Goodtimes video. This one, although supposedly about Bataan, is actually mostly about everything but that.

The film starts off by talking about what was happening in Europe.

Then it talks about Russia and North Africa.

Then it moves on to the Japanese invasion of China.

Next is the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Now it's an unidentified talking head.

The Japanese land on Luzon.

It continues with further advances of the Japanese in the Philippines.

It also talks about the Japanese invasions of Hong Kong and Malaya.

The Japanese attack on Singapore.

MacArthur is told to leave and goes to Australia, leaving another general to take over.

April 9, 1942; Bataan falls. The death march is talked about.

The video then covers the Doolittle Raid.

The Battle of the Coral Sea.

January, 1942; FDR talks about increasing production goals for the U.S. This is one speech of his I haven't seen on any other video.

Then there are some scenes of war production.

The video talks about the European theater some, and then mentions the Battle of Midway. It briefly mentions other places and even the North African campaign.
