Activities in Burma – Leto Road

Equipment for a pontoon bridge is brought in.

Some of the curves on the Leto road are too sharp for the overly-long trucks to take, and the movement of the materials is slowed by two weeks.

For the final part of the trip the pontoon sections are put on a train along with Chinese troops.

Construction on the new bridge is undertaken.

Construction equipment and armored forces will end up using the bridge.

Chinese forces cross on their way to the front.

Tanks move along the road to help the attack on Bhamo, but the city falls before they can get there.

Accidents happen, as is shown when this bridge cracks and a mule goes into the water.
