Ormoc Landings
Around December 7th, 1944.
U.S. ships bombard Ormoc Bay.
A twenty-minute bombardment is followed by a U.S. landing attempt, and also by a Japanese attack on the ships.
Survivors of a U.S. transport that was sunk.
U.S. troops land on a beach a few miles from Ormoc.
A U.S. tank uses a flame-thrower as Japanese opposition intensifies.
Ormoc (or, more properly, what is left of it) falls.
One of the very few Japanese prisoners. They had just shown a Japanese soldier who had committed suicide.
A Japanese transport that had been attempting to land is attacked.
