Kamikaze News Item (You Tube)

This is a news item from a British station, is my guess, about a film being made in Japan about the kamikaze in World War II. The director of the film, For Those We Love, says he wanted the truth about the kamikaze to be known.

Original aircraft were restored and real ammunition was used, along with special effects. The film focuses on a woman who runs a restaurant on a base where many kamikaze departed for their missions.

The director says he does not want to glorify the kamikaze pilots, or make war seem beautiful in any way. He's very mad at the commanding officers who forced (his words) the kamikaze to do what they did.
