Loose Lips (Private Snafu) (You Tube)
One of the various Private Snafu cartoons.
Private Snafu is walking along saying he's learned a secret but he won't tell it to anyone.
The moment he says he's got a secret the false head of the horse comes off.
Then there's the stereotyped Japanese spy.
Plus a whole bunch of other spies.
He's calling his mother. Notice the Japanese spy cooped up inside the telephone casing.
He says he's going on a trip. There are three other fake phone booths with spies; one Japanese, one Italian (I think) and the third one I'm not sure of. Should be German, but looks more like a Frenchman.
He stops to buy some magazines 'for when he's on the ship.' Three spies are right there.
In a bar more of his secret is revealed.
He gets drunk. Look what happens to the padlock around the secret.
1
He makes an immediate beeline to a woman and tells her where he's going.
She types a message and a pigeon carries it off.
Her breasts have Nazi tape recorders (or radio?) on them.
Hitler gets the message.
The U-boats are alerted.
The troop ship sails with the U-boats following it.
He falls off the ship, the U-boats open fire on him, and he ends up in Hell.
He wonders who let his secret out and the mirror first displays his face, and then the rear of a horse.
Both before and after the cartoon are shots of numerous propaganda posters about not letting the enemy know secrets.
