Private Snafu: Censored

This is one of the Private Snafu cartoons. This one deals with the private trying to write his girlfriend, and the military censors intercepting the letters and censoring them. He finally gets an uncensored letter through, and it turns out that it allows the Japanese to learn where the troops are going to attack. They prepare for the Americans.

Snafu awakes to find it was a dream, and he stops his own letter from going out.

The images of the Japanese are typical of the time, and that's why I've concentrated on caps from those images. What is also surprising is that the drawings he has up on his barracks room include women with their breasts showing.
