I Was There – The Philippines

Two nurses. The one on the right had been in the Philippines.

She was in Manila on December 7, 1941.

Japanese planes attacked Manila on the same day. There are some scenes showing bodies of natives that had been strafed by the Japanese planes.

A few days before Corregidor fell, she was evacuated to Australia.

This is a captured Japanese film about their attack on Corregidor.

Then there's video of the surrender of U.S. troops.

People cheer the Japanese general.

The film then talks about how U.S. forces are working their way back to Corregidor and the Philippines.
