One group moved towards Manila.

They kept reinforcing their original assault units on Luzon.

Japanese planes began bombing Manila in early December.

Manila fell on January 2, 1942.

Japanese propaganda units began working.

Some Filipinos helped the Japanese.

MacArthur left the Philippines.

The Japanese held a big parade in Manila.

The Japanese then attacked Corregidor.

On May 6th the island surrendered.

The Japanese general later toured Corregidor.
