U.S. Marines at Guadalcanal

This guy has a voice that doesn't go with his appearance at all.

He talks about how the men from the different services got along together and worked together just fine.

“Willing hands were found for every task.”

He talks about how the U.S. soldiers have “shattered the myth of Japanese invincibility.”

He talks about how the Japanese are taught to “fight bravely and die.”

Americans, he says, are taught to “fight, win, and live.”

“It is apparent that much of the war with the Japanese will be fought in woods and jungle.”

Dead Japanese bodies are shown, and then we go to scenes of more fighting.

Henderson Field was frequently attacked.

The film stresses inter-service cooperation again, thanking the Army, Navy, Marines, and air units.

This is obviously a film that was meant to be shown to soldiers.
