Munda Outpost

Munda, on New Georgia island.

A group of engineers set out to rebuild Munda's airfield. Notice that they are all black. There was quite a bit of racism in the military, and blacks were largely confined to being engineers, cooks, stewards, and similar workers.

The video then talks about the building of the airfield.
