The article starts out with a sort of timetable. January 1942: Manila falls. April: Bataan falls. May: Corregidor falls.

It then goes on to note that the Japanese treated the Filipinos very badly when they took over the Philippines. The guerrilla groups hid in the mountains as the resistance movement grew. There was some rivalry between some of the group.
