The Day the Hornet Sank

Autumn 1994, volume 7 #1.

The story is about a nineteen-year old on the Hornet. He writes that the Japanese attacked at 9 A.M. He was inside the ship and could feel the bombs explode. A kamikaze pilot hit the bridge of the ship, and then torpedoes hit it. The rudder was damaged and the ship was sailing at an angle. Destroyers rescued the wounded and the ship was hit yet again.
