One of America's greatest stage actresses was Maude Adams, a diminutive woman from Salt Lake City. From her first appearance in 1906 as Peter Pan she became identified with that and other Sir James Barrie roles. Although she lived most of her life outside of Utah, her appearances on hometown stages were enthusiastically supported.
