Her History and Personality

From time to time there would be sort of a historical piece on Maude Adams, even well before the time of her death, such was her popularity.

Note that the first article is actually rather critical of Maude Adams acting ability.

The "Unapproachable" Maude Adams

Trenton Evening Times, Feb. 2, 1908

The Stlanta Constitution, July 30, 1914

It seems to me that the second article is sort of nasty, to say the least.

Odds and Ends, Bits and Pieces

Woodland Daily Democrat, August 22, 1896

The Stevens Point Journal, Oct. 22, 1898

The Daily Herald, Feb. 24, 1899

The first article refers to Maude Adams' sense of humor. The second article is sort of a "she is ours"-type article, but also is one of the only ones to refer to her singing ability. The third article is another one praising her. The fourth article refers to what she likes to eat. Chicken, ok. Raw oysters? Eww. (At least in my opinion, anyhow).
