Mary Magdalene in France

On the plus side there are a lot of very pretty photos showing statues of Mary Magdalene and churches and other places connected with her. There's also a lot of information about her.

On the other hand, there are typos, areas with whole parts of sentences are missing, and various photos whose description ends up stuck among the regular text.

The author lives in the area and has visited Mary-related sites many times. He has even served as a guide at times. He covers a wide variety of Mary-related topics including the crucifixion and what may have happened after that, the Knights Templar, Mary Magdalene in France and her teachings there, the marriage of Jesus and Mary, their children, the House of Bethany, the Cathars, the Black Madonnas, the Holy Grail, gnostic writings and how the Church has carried out an anti-Mary policy to discredit her and the writings about her.

There is also a good bit of speculation in the book, a number of times where something is discussed and various possibilities are brought up but no single solution is given and references are made to chanelled writings which are pure speculation.

He says that 'true Christianity' is spiritual, esoteric and gnostic.

I like the photos and the factual information that is given. The speculative parts I like less so but they are not enough to make the book any less interesting.
