Sophia: The Holy Spirit

The book holds that the Holy Spirit is also the Divine Feminine and that it's useful to relate to something that is tangible. Jesus, for example, was a male physically but he was also divine spiritually. That made him a physical reality that people could more easily relate to then some nebulous term as 'spiritual.'

Thus, it's easy to relate to a woman who is spiritual and physical (such as the case with the mother of Jesus and with Mary Magdalene.)

The gifts of the Holy Spirit include wisdom, understanding, knowledge, counsel, fortitude and piety. (Notice nothing there is inherently violent.)

Male spirituality expresses itself in a linear fashion. Female spirituality is by nature cyclical.

There's also a list of reference books.

I think the book could have developed its premise a little better, though, and could have added more historical information.
