St. Mary Magdalene: The Gnostic Tradition of the Holy Bride

It should have been sub-titled the Sophian Gospel of Mary Magdalene. The book is allegedly based on oral traditions yet the book does not have any references to any oral or written references. The book could be channeled, it could be all made up out of whole cloth or it could just be something else. There is a short reference to other books and there is a really good glossary.

The problem with not having any specific or even general statements about where the actual story came from then there is no way to determine what part, if any, of this book are actually based on facts. This makes reviewing the book extremely difficult as I don't know to review it as realistic or as pure fantasy. It does read nice and has a lot of interesting things in it, I'll grant but the main question of the specific origin of the material still remains.
