Sweet Valley Twins: The Christmas Ghost

The story is based on A Christmas Carol. It starts off with Jessica not doing some things she was supposed to be helping on and a lie that she tells. It involves something very important that Elizabeth was working on to help others.

The story emphasizes how Jessica gets out of doing things, doesn't tell the truth and is very self-centered. She thinks of herself first and, if she thinks at all of others, last.

This results in the Christmas Carol approach with Jessica being visited by three ghosts (past/present/future), showing her how she was a better person when she was younger, how she and her sister have grown somewhat apart and of a possible future where the results of her behavior become very apparent.

The story itself is pretty good. Unfortunately, though, for those who have read further books in the series, especially the Sweet Valley High series, it seems Jessica may be headed towards the bad ending after all.
