Amy's Pen Pal

Elizabeth is on the school newspaper called The Sweet Valley Sixers. Her involvement with writing carries on through the entire series of books.

There is also the Unicorn Club, a clique of girls who think they are the best of the best. Naturally, Jessica and Lily are part of them.

We learn Steven is interested in radio and Amy is really bad at keeping her room clean. We find out a girl named Samantha is Amy's pen pal. Yes, there was a time when texting was a thing of the future, computers were massive things and writing letters was actually something people did with their friends.

Samantha shows up at Amy's door for a visit. The Unicorns don't like her. It's pretty obvious by this time in the book what is actually happening. Things could have turned out very bad for Samantha, perhaps even fatally.

It's a decent book and a (weak) warning about not doing what Samantha has done.
