Amandine

This novel is about a young girl named Delia who ends up becoming friends with a girl named Amandine.

In most cases that would not be a problem, but Amandine is not a very nice person, to say the least. She is a manipulator, a trickster and outright nasty a lot of the time. Delia finally comes to realize that and breaks with Amandine.

Amandine has her revenge, though, by making an accusation that Delia's father made a pass at her while giving her a ride home.

This is a rather good novel, showing more of the relationships that teenage girls have and how some girls can be incredibly nasty in their actions to other girls, but present a completely different image to adults. Overall quite interesting.
