Clique

This novel is about Clare. Her father is a college friend of Massie's father, and they move from Florida since Clare's father now works for Massie's father. They will be staying at Massie's house for a while, though, until they can find one for their own family.

The problem is that a culture clash is about to happen. Massie, all her friends, and all the students at the school Clare is about to attend are rich kids. Snotty, cliquish, at times incredibly nasty rich kids with one of the most powerful cliques centered around Massie herself.

Clare, on the other hand, is not rich and is not into wearing nothing but ultra-expensive fashion designer clothing like all the other students. Massie's parents want her to be nice to Clare, but Massie wants anything but that and a clash of wills ensues.

There are a lot of mind-games going on, and Clare is the odd-girl out and the target of many of them, although she shows that she can play mind-games of her own, too. Although all games such as those have consequences.

It's an overall interesting book even if it deals with a world few people get to see, the world of the ultra-rich.
