Dead Girls Don't Write Letters

This is a good and yet very strange novel about a girl named Sunny who had a sister named Jazz. Jazz went to New York and was supposedly killed in an apartment fire, yet one day Sunny gets a letter from her and the next day Jazz shows up at their home.

Or not-Jazz. Sunny is convinced the girl is not her sister, but her drunken father and almost totally-out-of-it mother aren't much help. It's up to Sunny to prove the girl is an imposter.

Or does the girl exist at all? Is this some kind of mental aberration on Sunny's part? The way the novel ends is unexpected and a wee bit confusing, in my opinion. Still, overall a good read.
