The Wizard's Dilemma

Nita and Kit are having problems. Kit and the whale wizard do a spell to help clean up some water. Nita was supposed to help them, but she didn't come.

Kit and his dog enter some strange kind of dimension or reality that is very dark. Ponch, his dog, is able to create things wherever that area is. Kit can also.

Nita finds out that her mother has a brain tumor. Nita decides to try some very complex wizardry to try and help her. She goes into various universes and tries to find a particular something in each one.

There's a lot about Nita going into different universes and finding the kernal of each universe, and meeting various other wizards, all of them aliens. Then she meets the Lone One. It offers her a deal; it will heal her mother if she will give up her wizardry.

It all comes down to a battle within her mother's reality, with the Lone Power, Nita, Kit and the goddess aspect of her mother. There's a lot about coming to terms with approaching death, and living each moment in the light.

A very philosophical book, with a lot of interesting characters and places.
