Hands Off My Crush-Boy!

This is one of the Lizzie McGuire Mysteries series. In this case, Lizzie has entered Ethan's name in a Mr. Teen Hottie pageant contest. Instead of being a simple thing, though, Lizzie finds out this contest involves dancing, some questions being asked, singing, etc. Ethan ends up with Amanda, a professional who is used to working with performers. Ethan is up against some determined talent, however, and it is this, and a series of accidents, that causes Lizzie to think someone is actually trying to get Ethan out of the competition in any way necessary.

Lizzie goes into her detective-mode, watching Ethan, watching those around him, and trying to figure out who is behind the series of possibly-harmful pranks.

Lizzie manages to solve the mystery, and the culprit is not necessarily the person one would suspect.

A cute story for the series.
