Dead is a State of Mind

Daisy is almost 17. Her entire family has psychic abilities and so does she, although she hasn't manged to learn a lot of control at the moment. Ryan is her boyfriend. Her father has disappeared, and her older sister is dating a werewolf. Her other sister is basically in love with a ghost.

She lives in a town that has a council consisting of werewolves, banshees and vampires, and they try to keep the stranger elements in town under control.

There's also a new guy on the scene, Duke, who claims to be able to read fortunes.

There are a couple of plot lines, one of which is Daisy's on-going trouble with Ryan and trying to figure out if he is, or is not, her boyfriend. The other plot line is the murder of on of the teachers from the school.

There's also a group called the Scourge who are out to kill any paranormal being.

Everything ends up relating to each other and, in the end, the murderer is caught (and it's no surprise at all who it is, which is slightly disappointing). There's some good humor in the book, but basically as far as a mystery goes it's sort of light-weight.
