Sacrifice

The fifth novel in the series is almost entirely about Stanton, centering on his feelings for Serene, his past before the Atrox, his past after his introduction to the Atrox and his battle with Serena and the other Daughters of the Moon.

It also concerns his death (sort of), rebirth (sort of), redemption (sort of), and fall (definitely).

It's obviously a treat for those who are interested in Stanton, but in a way it's sort of predictable, as far as the ultimate ending goes, and it doesn't really advance the story line a lot. It's sort of a "a difference that makes no difference is no difference" type of book. Interesting, fairly well done, but overall not really necessary.
