Feast of Fools

Mr. Bishop is there with two vampires, and he is horribly mean and vicious. Claire's parents are also there. Claire talks to Oliver and even he is scared of Bishop.

The main plot is that there is going to be a ball, with vampires bringing humans, and Bishop plans to somehow take over the town, killing a bunch of people if needed.

Claire's only hope is to go with Myrnin who may, and may not, be getting over the vampire disease that prevents vampires from making new vampires.

Bishop makes his play, starting a full-scale war between his vampiric followers and those vampires who follow Amelie, and the humans. It's basically going to be a no quarter kind of fight.

This is a fantastic book in the series, one that you will want to read straight through.
