The story of Morganville continues with Bishop in control of the town. Clair is also under his control, and Myrnin is her direct boss. Shane and his father are in jail, awaiting execution, and vampires are still getting ill from the disease that is plaguing them.
However, revolution is brewing and a mix of vampires and humans work together to get some people to safety and to find a way to eliminate Bishop once and for all.
Claire and Myrnin are also working closely together on the cure for the vampire disease, and Claire meets an odd computer that Myrnin has built and that has an artificial life of its own.
The revolution gets on its way and Bishop finds out that he's not as all-powerful as he thought.
A good addition to the series.
