Isabelle is thirteen years old and has an eating disorder, brought to her parents attention by Isabelle's younger sister. In response, Isabelle is put into group therapy and has some individual meetings with the group leader.

Her father had died in an accident, and that's probably the thing that initially started her eating disorder problem.

Basically, the novel is like almost any other one I've read on the same subject; there's nothing to set it aside as special or significantly from other books on the subject. I'm not saying it's bad, just that, if you've already read other books on the subject, this one will not really be very different.
