Jessica is 16 and she still has her 'lightning girl' abilities, and is still trying to hide that fact from the F.B.I. When she starts the school year she finds out a girl is dead, and the students blame her since she wasn't home at the time and they couldn't get her to try to find the girl.
Meanwhile she gets a photo from her contact and is able to find another missing child, but then another girl from the school she's in goes missing. She and Rob are able to rescue the girl from a broken-down house, but Jessica gets a threatening call and her parent's restaurant is then burned to the ground. Her expanding abilities, though, allow her to determine just where the girl is and she's able to get to her in time and reveal the identity of the person who kidnapped the one girl and murdered the other.
However, the two FBI agents who have been following her are pulled off her case and a hard-nosed character takes over. The FBI, basically, wants to punish her for the good things she's done and force her to work for them.
A good addition to the series.
