Samantha's Special Talent

The library Samantha goes to in badly in need of repairs, and she suggests a talent show to get people to donate the needed money. She organizes the entire thing, getting the acts, getting posters made, getting tickets made, etc. All the time, though, she is unsure of what her talent is since others play the piano, the violin, juggle, or do other things.

After the show is over, Samantha realizes that her talent was to be a good leader for the project.

The historical section discusses vaudeville and Harry Houdini. It's a very interesting section, especially in that it notes that sometimes women were paid more than the men.

The final section is about how to juggle. Overall an interesting book.
